The Hub Settings page allows administrators to configure the Konnect Hub service, select the MultiPath Konnect (MPK) operating mode, define the WAN interfaces used by the Hub service, and configure the Hub listener settings. It also provides a view of the configured Source NAT (SNAT) and Destination NAT (DNAT) rules.
To access the page, navigate to Hub > Hub Settings.
The Hub Settings page consists of the following sections:
-
Konnective Hub Services
-
MultiPath Konnect Mode
-
Konnective Hub Service Settings
-
NAT Table
-
Inbound NAT / Route Table
Konnective Hub Service
Use the Konnective Hub Services drop-down to enable or disable Hub functionality on the device.
|
Option |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Enable |
Activates the Konnect Hub service on the device. |
|
Disable |
Disables the Hub service. |
When the Hub service is disabled, the device does not function as a Hub server.
MultiPath Konnect Mode
The MultiPath Konnect Mode determines how the Hub processes traffic.
Available modes include:
|
Mode |
Description |
|---|---|
|
PEP (Performance Enhancing Proxy) |
Uses TCP acceleration and compression to improve performance over high-latency links such as VSAT networks. Supports throughput of approximately 300 Mbps. |
|
Tunnel |
Uses MPK Tunnel technology and supports advanced capabilities such as TCP Transport, Forward Error Correction (FEC), Packet Balancing, and Packet Duplication. Supports multi-Gbps throughput depending on the hardware. |
An Information (ℹ) icon beside the field displays a summary of both operating modes.
Change the MultiPath Konnect Mode
When you change the MPK mode:
-
Select the required mode from the MultiPath Konnect Mode drop-down.
-
Click Save.
-
A confirmation dialog informs you that changing the MPK mode requires a Hub server reboot.
-
Click Save & Reboot to apply the configuration.
After the reboot:
-
The Hub restarts using the newly selected MPK mode.
-
The current user session ends.
-
You are redirected to the login page.
Important note: Changing the MPK mode interrupts existing Hub traffic while the server reboots.
Configure Konnective Hub Service Settings
The Konnective Hub Service Settings section defines how the Hub accepts incoming client connections.
-
Select WAN Interface(s) - Select one or more WAN interfaces on which the Hub service will listen for client connections. Only traffic received on the selected WAN interfaces is accepted by the Hub service.
-
Listen Port (TCP/UDP) - Specify the port number used by the Hub service to accept incoming client connections. The selected port must be reachable through the configured WAN interfaces.
-
Password (Optional) - Specify an optional authentication password for Hub client connections. Providing a password adds an additional layer of authentication between Hub clients and the Hub server.
-
Click Save to apply the Hub configuration. If the MPK mode has been modified, the system prompts you to reboot the Hub before the changes take effect.
NAT Table
The NAT Table displays the outbound NAT policies configured for the Hub.
The table contains the following information:
|
Column |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Edge Device |
The Edge device associated with the NAT rule. |
|
WAN Interface |
The WAN interface on which the rule is applied. |
|
Access Network |
The internal network affected by the rule. |
|
NAT Type |
The configured NAT method (for example, SNAT or NONAT). |
|
NAT To |
The translated destination IP address used by the NAT rule. |
This section is intended for monitoring the NAT configuration applied to connected Edge devices.
Inbound NAT / Route Table
The Inbound NAT / Route Table displays inbound destination NAT (DNAT) mappings configured on the Hub.
The table includes:
|
Column |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Edge Device |
The destination Edge device. |
|
Destination Address and Port (IP:Port) |
The public IP address and listening port on the Hub. |
|
DNAT Address and Port (IP:Port) |
The internal IP address and port to which incoming traffic is forwarded. |
Inbound NAT rules allow external traffic received by the Hub to be forwarded to services hosted behind connected Edge devices/
Notes:
-
The MultiPath Konnect Mode is available from both the Hub Settings and Client Settings pages.
-
Changing the MPK mode on the Hub requires a server reboot before the new mode becomes active.
-
The Tunnel mode enables advanced MPK transport features such as TCP Transport, Forward Error Correction (FEC), Packet Balancing, and Packet Duplication, which can be configured in WAN Profiles.
-
Existing client sessions are interrupted while the Hub restarts after an MPK mode change.
